Princess Cruises Hosts Travel & Media at “Race for a Cure” in Leopardstown

Breast Cancer Ireland held their annual “Race for a Cure” Race Day in Leopardstown Pavillion on Sunday, 12th May. To help raise funds to support the very worthy charity, Princess Cruises sponsored a prize of a fabulous cruise in the auction which raised a staggering amount of over €7,000.

ITTN’s Shane Cullen attended the event as a guest of Eithne Williamson (VP Princess Cruises, UK & Europe), Rebecca Kelly (Senior Sales Manager at Princess Cruises) and Mileine Ward (Executive PR, UK & Europe) alongside Deirdre Sweeny (Sunway), Lorraine Quinn (The Travel Suite), Dave Hayeems (Trailfinders), Criona Buggie (Travel Counsellors), Celine Kenny (Cruise Escapes), Mairead Keegan (Click & Go), Jacinta McGlynn (Travelbiz) and Eileen Sutton (RTÉ).

Shane Cullen Interviews Eithne Williamson

In an exclusive interview with Eithne Williamson, she shared with Shane:

Shane Cullen – “Thank you so much for inviting us along to the Breast Cancer Ireland at the Leopardstown Race Course, so tell us a little bit about why you supported the event today?”

Eithne Williamson – “Thank you Shane, Breast cancer charity is a very important charity and it’s really great to be able to support Breast Cancer Ireland. Princess Cruises is incredibly proud to be part of it. And it is so lovely to have both agents and trade media here to be able to enjoy today, to have some fun, build relationships and, also – and most importantly – support an incredibly important charity.”

Shane – “And you have been incredibly generous today with your donation of a cruise and it did amazingly well in the auction.”

Eithne – “It did incredibly well. Today, Shane, we raised over €7,000 for Breast Cancer Ireland and that was amazing. We’ll make sure we look after those guests and ensure that they have an incredible holiday on board Princess Cruises”.

Guests were treated to a delightful afternoon which included a 3-course lunch, a spectacular view of the races as well as an evening of live entertainment from Nathan Carter. There were even a few winners on the day.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Rebecca kept the clouds at bay with guests enjoying rare May sunshine for the day.
