The earliest date for an EU ruling on IAG’s proposed acquisition of British Midland International from Lufthansa has now been confirmed as 30th March. BMI has always based its working assumptions on this deadline and IAG has confirmed that it is “continuing to talk to the EU”.
IAG has said that it remains confident that it will receive regulatory approval for the deal and BMI is still aiming to receive regulatory approval by the end of the first quarter.
