Solmar Villas Expands Italian Portfolio by Adding Properties in Sicily and Sardinia

UK-owned European villa rental operator Solmar Villas has expanded its offering in Italy, doubling the number of properties it offers in the country and adding new collections in Sicily and Sardinia

Complementing the company’s existing range in Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast, the new properties range from two to seven bedrooms and cater to a variety of budgets and group sizes.

In Sicily, there are nine new villas in the west of the island, all with sea views and private pools. Situated close to Scopello, they mostly have elevated positions to take advantage of scenic views and tranquil locations. Properties in the region are priced from €1,338 based on seven nights, accommodation only, in Villa Turquoise Tide which sleeps up to four and features a covered dining terrace with views over the bay and a secluded grotto-style pool.

On Sardinia, six new properties in Olbia and Alghero are all located close to the coast, in semi-rural locations, with sea views as well as private pools and some with hot tubs. The island is served by two airports – Olbia Costa Smeralda and Alghero for easy connections and prices start from €3,086, villa only, for seven nights in Villa Due Mare in Alghero, sleeping up to eight. Once a farmstead, the villa is set within the protected Nurra region, has countryside and sea views, rustic kitchen and outdoor pizza oven.

Julie Blake, CEO, said: “We have chosen these islands to expand our Italian portfolio as we see great growth-potential in the region. The natural landscapes are a major draw for guests; Mount Etna and its surrounding volcanic landscape on Sicily and the stunning Costa Smerelda stretch of coastline on Sardinia are just two of the reasons we know these destinations will be popular. Added to that is a variety of flight options to these destinations, a range of price-points and abundance of activities from hiking to wine-tasting and exploring ancient cultural sites. We will be adding more properties in the region over the coming months and expect them to be a big hit for summer 2024.”

All Solmar Villas properties can be booked accommodation only or as part of a flight-inclusive package, with ATOL protection. Car hire, insurance and transfers can also be added.
