Barbados to accept rapid antigen tests in new restrictions

Rapid antigen tests can now be presented for entry into Barbados.

Rapid antigen tests join the list of approved tests for entry in Barbados. The tests must be administered by a healthcare provider less than 24 hours before arrival.

PCR tests taken can also be used and must be taken no more than three days prior to arrival.

However, self-administered swabs are not accepted.

Visit Barbados said: “Travellers can also expect to see changes to the Grantley Adams international airport experience.

“All paper forms previously distributed onboard aircraft arriving in Barbados will be discontinued.”

The new guidance came after the curfew in Barbados was lifted, which previously restricted movements between 12 and 5 a.m.
