Dubai’s rich cultural background, combined with the many different nationalities that now reside there, means that an array of culinary tastes are now catered for. From the gastronomic excellence of Michelin Star chefs to traditional delicacies of local restaurants, Dubai has established itself as a great foodie destination.

Top chef Gary Rhodes, who has his Mezzanine restaurant at Grosvenor House in Dubai, has written the foreword for the guide. He says: “One of my favourite places in Dubai is the spice souk, where fragrances and aromas surround you. Holidaymakers can select from the huge variety of spices from all over the Middle East, which are fantastic to include in the simplest of recipes.”

Ian Scott, Director UK and Ireland for Dubai Tourism & Commerce Marketing, said: “From local Arabian dishes to Chinese and Indian, Mexican and Australian, European and even North Korean, Dubai caters for a huge range of international tastes – meaning holidaying food fans don’t have to travel far to sample cuisine from all corners of the world.”
