At the Gala Dinner during Travel Counsellors Ireland’s annual conference, The Difference Is You, held this weekend at the Radisson Blu St Helen’s Hotel in Stillorgan, Co Dublin, GoHop.ie was presented with the ‘Best Supplier’ award, while Sarah McCarthy was nominated ‘Best Travel Counsellor’ and Raymond Lee as ‘Most Helpful Travel Counsellor’.

A total of 38 Travel Counsellors attended the conference, along with Irish head office staff Cathy Burke, Bernie Whelan and Ciara MacConnell and Travel Counsellors Chairman and founder David Speakman, Managing Director Steve Byrne, Sales Director Malcolm Hingley, and Simon Ward of Phenix.
The weekend event started on the Friday evening with a Dubai Tourism Arabian Evening, along with One&Only Resorts and Atlantis, followed on Saturday by the conference and a supplier Pow Wow that was well supported by 46 representatives from 36 suppliers.

The highlight of the event was the Black Tie Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony held in the Le Panto Restaurant. Nine award categories were announced with the new category of Best Supplier being awarded to GoHop.ie and the Best Travel Counsellor being won by the very popular Sarah McCarthy.
Dinner and the awards were followed by a live band and some seriously energetic dancing!!!
