Passengers travelling to London from City of Derry Airport can now buy tickets for the Heathrow Express shuttle train when departing, rather than having to wait to buy at Heathrow itself.
Heathrow Express links the airport to London city centre, at Paddington Station, in 15 minutes.
The new ticketing availability is connected with Loganair – the UK regional carrier – which flies from City of Derry to London Heathrow.
Steve Frazer, Managing Director at City of Derry Airport, said: “As the three times daily service to London Heathrow is in high demand from travellers across our catchment areas in Derry City and Strabane, Donegal and the Causeway Coast, we thought it would be fantastic to enhance their experience further. With seamless travel from the minute they arrive in the Airport, through to the departure gate (in less than 15 minutes!), they can now enjoy extended convenience on their onward journey from Heathrow with connectivity into central London and beyond already sorted in advance of travel.
