SAA Wins ‘Best Airline in Africa’ at Skytrax Awards 2015

South African Airways (SAA) won three awards at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2015 this month including, for the 13th consecutive year, the ‘Best Airline in Africa’ award, a testament to the airline group’s commitment to quality service.

SAA was also awarded ‘Best Airline Staff Service in Africa’ for the fourth time. The awards for Best Airline Staff are coveted accolades as they represent the combined quality performance of an airline’s front-line staff, the onboard cabin staff and the airline’s airport staff.

Additionally, SAA’s low-cost carrier Mango received the award for ‘Best Low-Cost Airline in Africa’.

“These awards are dedicated to the people working at SAA and Mango who, with hard work and perseverance, have shown that the SAA Group is going from strength to strength,” said Nico Bezuidenhout, Acting Chief Executive, SAA. “Excellent customer service is one of the top five strategic objectives of the Group’s long-term turnaround strategy, and these awards confirm our efforts are paying off.”

The national carrier for South Africa, SAA offers double daily flights to Johannesburg from London Heathrow’s new Terminal 2, and serves over 30 destinations within Africa on a fleet of Airbus A330 and A340s.
