Travel industry professionals all over Ireland are being encouraged to get involved in this year’s ‘Darkness into Light’, the nationwide 5k run/walk in aid of Pieta House. The event will take place on Saturday 10th May at over 40 locations throughout Ireland.
Sinead Reilly, Travelport and committee member said: “The committee have worked very closely with Pieta House in the past couple of years, and we have been blown away by their commitment and dedication to their cause. We would love to see as many friends of the travel trade turn out, wherever you are across Ireland, and get involved. It’s an early start, but is for such a worthwhile cause – and remember that every €1,000 raised for Pieta House saves a life.”
Now in its sixth year, this worthwhile event has become popular with people all over the country, with 40,000 people taking part last year, including a large number of travel industry professionals. ‘Darkness into Light’ is the flagship fundraising and awareness event for Pieta House, meaning support and participation is vital in assisting Pieta House to continue to help thousands of people in distress every year.
