All the Irish Travel Trade News team extend their sympathies to the Benson family and all who knew Alan Benson, who passed away peacefully yesterday in Marbella, after suffering a heart attack on Monday.
Alan was involved in the Irish travel trade for more than 30 years and, with his wife Susan, was a Director of Sadlier Travel Ltd, which was established in December 1982.
The funeral will take place at 1.00pm on Monday 6th January 2014 in the Jewish Cemetery, Augavannagh Road, Dolphin’s Barn, Dublin 8.
I knew Alan for about 20 years. I would only
deal with him to book my trips, he was so efficient.
Alan was one of life’s gentlemen. He was a pleasure
to do business with. My wife and I would have travelled
all over the world with Sadlier Travel. I am deeply sorry
to hear of his passing. My thoughts are with his wife and
family. May he rest in peace.
