Etihad Airways has appointed its Corporate Sales Manager Ireland, Alan Glover, as the airline’s new Manager Sales Victoria, in Australia, while Fiona Lawless has been appointed Sales Account Manager Queensland. The recruitment process is under way to fill the vacancies in the Dublin office.
Alan relocates to Melbourne from Dublin and will replace Craig Thomas, who will move to Bangkok to take the position of Vice President Asia Pacific North and Indian Subcontinent. Within his new role, Alan will be responsible for sales in Melbourne and the state of Victoria, as well as neighbouring states of South Australia and Tasmania.
Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer, said: “We are delighted to appoint Alan to the role of Sales Manager Victoria. He will play a key role in developing sales for our daily flights out of Melbourne and he brings significant experience and expertise to the post.”
Alan said: “I am thrilled to be given this opportunity to be responsible for Etihad Airways’ sales in such a key market in Australia. Increasingly Etihad Airways, and its partners, are attracting new business due to our service offering and flight network and I look forward to building on this in the coming months.”
Alan will start his new role in early 2014 and will report directly to Luisa Pastrello, Etihad Airways’ Australia Country Manager.
Another change in the Dublin sales team will see Sales Executive, Fiona Lawless move to Brisbane, Australia, to take up the position of Sales Account Manager Queensland. Fiona will start her new role in the first quarter of 2014 and will report directly to Charles Morley, Etihad Airways’ State Manager Queensland.
