MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys have announced a sales team restructure in Ireland as they continue to invest in and grow the Irish market.

The announcement follows a landmark year for MSC Cruises in the country, following the contemporary cruise line’s most successful year of sales to date.

Suzanne Rowe, Head of Sales in Ireland for MSC Cruises will now play an integral role assisting the growth of Explora Journeys’ business in Ireland, driving brand awareness and trade partnerships as the brand looks to further strengthen its presence in Ireland.

Ms Rowe will continue to report into Steve Williams, Director of Sales UK & Ireland for MSC Cruises, with a functional report into Priti Mehta, Head of Sales UK & Ireland for Explora Journeys.

Ms Mehta said: “Suzanne brings a wealth of experience and knowledge, known and respected within the Irish market. I am excited to have her support the Explora Journeys sales team and I to further share our brand story, strengthening our trade partnerships and extending our reach across Ireland.  Jenny Wade, Business Relationship Lead, Explora Journeys also remains a key point of contact and together they will provide even greater support to our travel partners in Ireland”.

With over six years’ experience with MSC Cruises and over 25 years’ experience in the travel industry as a whole, Ms Rowe has previously worked for luxury hotel chains and an Irish based consultancy firm.

Suzanne Rowe, Head of Sales UK & Ireland for MSC Cruises commented: “The cruise industry in Ireland is going from strength to strength and as MSC Cruises is already the market leader for the country, I want to help replicate this success for Explora Journeys, the new luxury ocean travel brand of the MSC Group”.

Alana Byrne has also been promoted to the position of Senior Account Manager for MSC Cruises in Ireland reporting into Suzanne Rowe.

In this brand-new senior role, Ms Byrne will continue to strengthen relationships with trade partners in Ireland to grow sales and overall brand awareness in the country. With nearly seven years’ experience with the business, Ms Bryne has been awarded this title due to her instrumental role in cementing MSC Cruises’ position in Ireland.
