This year Travel Counsellors welcomed a record number of new Travel Counsellors to the company’s annual Irish Conference, with 11 new agents attending the prestigious event.
As the company continues to see significant growth the 11 new agents are just the latest travel professionals to make the move to run their own travel businesses from home. One of the new agents, Sharon Tiernan-Murphy from Duleek, has 20 years’ experience in the travel industry, having previously worked at a Co Louth agency for 15 years before becoming a Travel Counsellor.
Sharon said: “From the initial contact with head office I was completely enthused by the level of genuine support given to all Travel Counsellors. The company truly wants us to be successful with our businesses. I have learned so much from Travel Counsellors and am very excited about growing a successful business and continuing to offer exceptional service to all my clients.”
At the conference the new Travel Counsellors were able to meet with fellow colleagues from across Ireland, as well as hear all the latest company news, updates and plans for the future. The event had a big focus on training opportunities and new initiatives to enable each Travel Counsellor to take their business forward in the year ahead.
Blaithin Watson had a fabulous time at her first TC conference: “From the moment I arrived to the moment I left I found the conference so inspiring! I loved meeting all the other Travel Counsellors and it was really helpful hearing their amazing advice for growing my business. A personal highlight to me was winning the ‘Best Newcomer’ award, which was an incredible moment and made me extremely proud!”
Cathy Burke, Ireland General Manager, said: “I was delighted to welcome a record number of new Travel Counsellors to our Conference – especially with it being our special 10th anniversary celebrations! We have definitely seen a surge of interest from travel professionals over the past year and I have been thrilled to welcome these new agents to the Travel Counsellor family.
“We offer a secure future for travel professionals to grow successful travel businesses, so I look forward to continuing our growth and success and welcoming more agents to our team here in Ireland.”
