Flights Cancelled and Holidaymakers Warned as Storm Daniel Passes Along the Mediterranean

TUI is among a number of holiday companies and airlines to cancel flights and holidays in Greece as Storm Daniel thunders its way through the Mediterranean.

Northern European holidaymakers have been warned about travelling to parts of Italy, Greece and the eastern Mediterranean as the storm – which follows on from months of wildfire chaos – travels through the region and threatens flash flooding, heavy rain and high winds.

The Greek island of Skiathos has seen 24 hours of constant rain in recent days and official warnings have also been made about travel to southern Italy, Turkey and Malta and Gozo.
