The appointments are Valerie Murphy, Corporate Sales Manager Ireland; Yvonne Nolan, Corporate Sales Executive Ireland; and Shannon O’Dowd, Leisure Sales Executive Ireland.

Valerie Murphy is a marketing graduate and has worked in the airline industry for over 23 years. The majority of her time was spent with SAS where she worked in many departments including Airline Flight Operations, Sales & Marketing, Business Development and Key Account Management. Most recently, she spent nine months with Emirates developing corporate sales and online sales.

Yvonne Nolan has worked in the travel industry for over 18 years. Her previous roles have included Corporate Travel Consultant at American Express; Corporate Sales Manager at the Conrad Hilton Dublin and Mount Juliet; Business Development and Account Management in Club Travel and HRG Global; and most recently, Irish Government Travel Account Manager at CWT.

Shannon O’Dowd is originally from Australia and has been living and working in Ireland for over seven years. She started her career in the Irish travel industry within The Travel Corporation (formally One Stop Touring Shop) in the role of Agency Sales Representative and was then promoted to Business Development Manager.

The three new sales appointments come following Etihad Airways’ announcement that it is to increase its Dublin – Abu Dhabi service from 10 flights per week, to double daily from 15th July 2014. The frequency boost of 40% will provide 8,988 seats each week between the capital cities of Ireland and the UAE.

Etihad Airways also announced they will commence flights to Perth, Western Australia, on the same day as they increase flights from Dublin on 15th July 2014. The airline will offer six weekly flights from Dublin to Perth with seamless connections at its Abu Dhabi hub.

Beatrice Cosgrove, Etihad Airways’ Area General Manager, Northern Europe, said: “The growth of the Irish sales force reflects the growing importance of this market for Etihad Airways. We are pleased to welcome Valerie, Yvonne and Shannon to our commercial team and we congratulate them on their new roles. They are a great addition to the team and we look forward to working together in helping the brand move forward.”
