Aer Lingus takes off for Orlando from Manchester

Aer Lingus has celebrated the launch of its very first direct flight from Manchester to Orlando, Florida.

Flight EI 35 to Orlando is the third route launched by Aer Lingus UK as part of its new services from Manchester Airport direct to the United States and the Caribbean. Aer Lingus recently launched direct flights from Manchester to Barbados on 20th October and to New York, JFK on 1st December.

Flight EI 35, operated by an Airbus A330, departed Manchester on Saturday, 11 December, for Orlando.

It is the third inaugural flight for the Irish flag carrier after Barbados on 20 October and New York JFK on 1 December.

The four-times weekly service to Orlando goes out on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

A fourth service from Manchester, to Boston, will begin in summer 2022.

The flights operate under the oneworld joint venture, using BA’s code which means they can also be sold through British Airways.
