Air New Zealand ‘Scraps’ 2030 Carbon Emission Targets

According to media reports, Air New Zealand has scrapped its 2030 carbon emission reduction targets due to difficulties in boosting its fleet of fuel-efficient planes and getting deliveries of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

While it has become the first international airline to apparently drop its 2030 climate goals, Air New Zealand said it is working on a revised short-term target and remains committed to its 2050 net zero emissions target.
