Virgin Atlantic, LATAM Seek US Approval for Codeshare

Virgin Atlantic and LATAM Airlines Group have sought US approval to launch their codeshare agreement.

Virgin presently has a codeshare pact with LATAM Brasil.

Now they want US Department of Transportation (DOT) authorisation for codesharing from the UK to Peru, Chile and Colombia via the United States.

It will result in the US being the only transit point connecting the two airlines’ services.

Delta Air Lines has large investments in both carriers.
