Universal Studios Granted Initial Planning Permission for UK Theme Park

Universal Studios has been granted initial planning permission for its planned theme park in the UK.

The park – which is due to open in 2031 – is expected to cater for 8 million visitors per year and is rumoured to include Lord of the Rings, Paddington and James Bond themed attractions and areas.

The park will be based in Bedfordshire in the south of England and will be Universal’s first theme park in Europe.
