What do over 140 travel professionals, business partners, and prominent fashion stylist and entrepreneur Sonya Lennon have in common? The Travel Counsellors Ireland Annual Conference 2017!
The glamorous, two-day annual conference is a chance to celebrate success, network with travel suppliers, and further develop business skills. And, of course, dance the night away at the renowned black tie gala!
Speaking at the conference, Cathy Burke, General Manager of Travel Counsellors Ireland, said: “This year’s event is focused on the theme ‘My TC’, highlighting the personal service that the 67 Travel Counsellors across the country offer to their clients. They each have an exceptional depth of knowledge and expertise and always go one step further for their customers.”
This year’s guest speaker was prominent fashion stylist, broadcaster and entrepreneur Sonya Lennon, who shared her personal story of growing up in Dublin from the success of her broadcasting career with RTE on ‘Off the Rails’, writing two best-selling books with business partner Brendan Courtney, and successfully launching the fashion brand, Lennon Courtney.
The now famous Pow-Wow where 60 suppliers set up stalls and network with Travel Counsellors is a fantastic opportunity for Travel Counsellors to strengthen product knowledge, learn more about the vast range of suppliers, and discover new products.
Travel Counsellor Sarah McCarthy, who picked up the ‘Best Travel Counsellor’ award for the eighth consecutive year spoke of her win: “It is an incredible honour to receive such a prestigious award for the eighth year in a row. After deciding in 2006 to join Travel Counsellors, I have never looked back. It is such a rewarding career and I love being part of such a forward-thinking and dynamic travel company.”
