Daiva Kirkilaite-Chetcuti, Head of Target Markets Division of the Lithuanian State Tourism Department, visited Dublin recently to highlight the tourism and travel opportunities in Lithuania to the Irish travel trade and media in a presentation on ‘Discover Lithuania in Four Seasons’.
The event was held in the Lithuanian Embassy, where the guests were welcomed by the Lithuanian Ambassador to Ireland, H.E. Vidmantas Purlys, and served with traditional Lithuanian food and drinks.
Lithuania has been a member of the European Union since May 2004 and is the only Baltic country with nearly 800 years of statehood tradition. The country promotes six tourist routes that give an indication of some the many visitor attractions to be found: Amber Road, Via Hansa, Narrow Gauge Railway, Seaside Cycle, Great Baltic Travel, and Pilgrim Route of John Paul II.
