Royal Caribbean Survey: Irish Parents Want More Sporting Options for Kids While on Holiday

More than 50% of Irish parents want more sporting options for their kids while on holiday.

That is according to a new survey by cruise giant Royal Caribbean International, which said 53% of Irish parents questioned said they want more sporting options for their offspring on holiday, while 17% said they are more likely to try a sport on holiday.

The survey comes against the backdrop of a busy summer of sport – including Wimbledon, the Women’s Football World Cup, the Ashes Cricket and the Rugby World Cup.

Ben Bouldin, Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Royal Caribbean International said:  “With an exciting summer of sport ahead, it’s fantastic to see this spike in desire from… parents wanting more sports options for kids on holiday. On our ships, we see amazing memories being made at every turn as families and friends bond over a shared love of sports. And it’s not just the die-hard sports fans who enjoy our experiences, people come onboard and discover things like surfing or rock climbing, activities they never would have tried otherwise, and it makes their holiday.”
