Qantas has announced a range of special offers for its most loyal customers to thank them for their support throughout the recent period of industrial action. Selected Qantas Frequent Flyers are being offered additional points based on their tier status for all eligible Qantas flights from 16th November 2011 until 23rd December 2011, including new bookings and those already made.
Chief Executive Alan Joyce said the offer is about recognising the loyalty of Qantas Frequent Flyers. “We deeply regret the impact on our frequent flyers of the recent industrial action and grounding of the Qantas fleet. However, our customers can now book Qantas flights with confidence and certainty. Qantas is now 100 per cent focused on getting customers to their destinations, safely, on time, in comfort, and rewarding their loyalty to Qantas. We are delighted to be offering these special bonuses to our valued frequent flyers.”
The Qantas Group celebrated Qantas’s 91st birthday on Wednesday by officially welcoming the Boeing 787 Dreamliner to Sydney on its first visit to Australia. With 50 Dreamliners on firm order, the Group is one of leading customers for the B787 and the aircraft is vital to growth and fleet renewal for both Qantas and Jetstar. Jetstar will receive the first of the Group’s B787s in mid-2013.
