Princess Cruises Launches Panama Canal, Canada & New England Cruise Itineraries

For the first time ever, Princess Cruises will offer a series of Colonial Heritage itineraries featuring
Yorktown, Virginia, part of Virginia’s Historic Triangle, along with stops at charming and history-rich Charleston, South Carolina; Boston and Halifax aboard Island Princess sailing round-trip from
New York next summer.

In addition, Princess Cruises is expanding its popular Canada & New England cruise and
cruisetour programme
, offering guests a chance to witness regal trees boasting rich
shades of red, purple, orange and yellow, plus colonial history, stunning lighthouses, fresh
seafood enjoyed in quaint seaside villages aboard Emerald Princess and Enchanted
Princess in 2024.

Select cruises also feature stops in three Greenland ports, home to
stunning landscapes, including magnificent fjords and unique and varied wildlife.
Debuting in 2024, Princess’ new summer Colonial Heritage itineraries from New York
City are highlighted by the cruise industry’s first-ever stops in Yorktown, a historically
significant and picturesque town that serves as the gateway to Colonial Williamsburg and
Jamestown, the first permanent English settlement in the Americas.

The voyages are a perfect lead-up to Sestercentennial celebrations marking the 250th birthday of the United States, making this can’t-miss sailing for history buffs. Charleston, Boston and Halifax are
also included in Island Princess’ 10 and 11-night itineraries, which take place in June 2024. These voyages go on sale on May 25.

Princess is also offering a few “firsts” on its 2024 Canada & New England sailings,
including a unique 17-night itinerary aboard Emerald Princess that combines the best of
the East Coast with three day-long visits to ports in incredible Greenland, with
opportunities to view massive glaciers and experience interesting cultural and sightseeing
opportunities.

These sailings complement the line’s leading autumn foliage departures that
attract “leaf peepers” the world over with roundtrip seven- to 17-night cruises sailing from
Boston, on sale now.

Meanwhile, Princess has also launched its new Panama Canal region programme itinerary.

An expert in the Panama Canal, Princess Cruises has been bringing guests to this sought-after region since 1967. On sale now, the upcoming 2024-2025 season offers guests the
incredible opportunity to experience this marvel of modern technology and engineering,
known as the “world’s greatest shortcut,” and a gorgeous destination that is best seen by
ship.

“Three ships will transit the historic Panama Canal during our upcoming 2024-2025
season offering full transit sailings, ocean-to-ocean or roundtrip options from Ft.
Lauderdale,”
said John Padgett, Princess Cruises president.

“We’re excited to bring Coral Princess back to the region, returning the ship to her roots where she was christened in the Panama Canal in 2003, by then president of Panama, Mireya Moscoso.”

Three ships sailing on 26 departures, visiting 23 destinations in 12 countries, feature 24
transits through the new locks and 13 transits through the historic locks. The Panama Canal programme includes:

12-night Panama Canal with Costa Rica and the Caribbean: The 12-night
roundtrip itinerary is new for Princess. For the first time ever, guests can
experience the partial transit of the Panama Canal, have stops in the Southern
Caribbean with a late night in Aruba, and enjoy an additional stop in Bonaire or
Curacao. This itinerary is ideal for guests who want to experience the Panama
Canal transit, and unique culture in South and Central America while visiting
Caribbean islands and rainforests. All sailings go through the new locks.

  • 16-night Ocean-to-Ocean Itineraries: For guests who want a full transit
experience, Ocean-to-Ocean itineraries stop in Fuerte Amador, providing an indepth exploration of the lock system and access to Panama City. These itineraries
sail between Los Angeles or San Francisco to Ft. Lauderdale, and Ft. Lauderdale
to Los Angeles or San Francisco. All Ocean-to-Ocean itineraries sail through the
    historic locks.
The only way to go through the Panama Canal is via ship, and Princess guests enjoy an
immersive experience with onboard destination experts explaining the history and culture
of Panama as ships sail through the locks. Ashore, guests can explore lush rainforests
filled with ecological wonders and unique wildlife by visiting a sloth sanctuary on an
    Animal Planet recommended shore excursion.
The 2024-25 Panama Canal season includes seven desirable UNESCO World Heritage
Sites, including Spanish Fortifications at Portobelo-San Lorenzo (from Colón), The
Archaeological Site and Historic District of Panama, and the Port Fortress, or walled city,
    of Cartagena.
