Over 70% of Irish Holidaymakers Yet to Book their Main 2024 Trip

More than 70% of Irish holidaymakers have yet to book their main 2024 holiday, according to research from online travel agent Click&Go.

The research found that 60% of the survey respondents that are travelling with children as part of their holiday booking would consider taking their children out of school to save on holiday prices.

Furthermore, 38% of respondents who have yet to book their holiday will leave booking their holiday closer to the departure date. This is a change in attitude compared to the end of 2023 which saw a forward booking trend. Additionally, 62% predicted that they will book in April, May or June.

Paul Hackett, CEO of Click&Go commented: “Everyone knows that booking earlier saves money, so why not do it today?  We don’t see prices dropping for travel June – September but the market appears to be holding off making a decision.  Travel off peak and save hundreds.”
