Northern Lights holidays are proving so popular from Ireland that Hurtigruten has added an extra direct flight from Dublin on 18th March 2015 to support its Arctic Highlights programme.
Philip Price, Managing Director, said: “I am delighted that we are getting such great support from the trade and it is thanks to them that we have been able to offer additional capacity. Northern Norway is a spectacular destination and being able to offer direct flights means it is easily accessible for a short break from Ireland.”
Arctic Highlights voyages are ideal for those heading in search of the Northern Lights because passengers stay within the Arctic Circle for the duration of the voyage and travel in the ‘auroral zone’ where the lights are most often seen.
They now offer great value for money as well. Passengers booking the Arctic Highlights itinerary will benefit from a drinks package offering free wine or beer with their evening meals and €60 per person credit to spend onboard.
Among the optional excursions available during the trip are snowmobiling, husky sledging and a trip to the North Cape – the northernmost point of mainland Europe.
Arctic Highlights packages departing on 18th March start from €1,092 per person, based on two people sharing an inside cabin and including direct flights, transfers, voyage from Tromso to Kirkenes and back to Tromso on half-board basis, two nights in a hotel in Tromso on bed and breakfast basis, drinks package and €60pp onboard credit.
