MSC Offering ‘Fly & Cruise’ Options from Ireland for New Canary Islands Winter ’24/’25 Schedule

MSC Cruises has announced it will base a ship in the Canary Islands for the winter 2024-25 winter season and sales are now open.

MSC Opera will operate 7-night itineraries with six ports of call between November 3, 2024 and March 16, 2025.

MSC is offering ‘Fly & Cruise’ options from Dublin, Belfast and various UK airports including Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham and Edinburgh.

The ship will depart from Santa Cruz de Tenerife in Tenerife for Las Palmas in Gran Canaria, Puerto del Rosario in Fuerteventura, Funchal in Madeira, Santa Cruz de la Palma in La Palma and Arrecife in Lanzarote before returning to Tenerife.

The new itinerary also offers flexible embarkation options, including Santa Cruz de Tenerife on Sundays, Las Palmas on Mondays, Madeira for Funchal on Thursdays or Fridays, and Arrecife on Saturdays.

With extended stays in ports, the new itinerary gives holidaymakers up to 16 hours in port, ample time to enjoy everything that each vibrant destination has to offer.

Antonio Paradiso, Vice President of International Sales for MSC Group’s Cruise Division and UK & Ireland Managing Director of MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys said: “At MSC Cruises we listen to what our customers want and we know that Brits love to escape harsh winters and get some much-needed winter sun. That’s why we are offering this new itinerary in the Canary Islands for Winter 2024-25 onboard the stylish MSC Opera. We know this sailing will be popular amongst all European guests, especially those from the UK and Ireland which is why sales for are now on sale.”

The new itinerary replaces MSC Opera’s previously planned Red Sea winter 2024-25 programme, which is cancelled in light of the current risk to shipping in this region.
