Mary Conway of Creation Travel’s ‘Chocolate Cake from Paradise’ has been voted into second place in Celebrity Cruises’ Chef’s Challenge – and so Mary will be jetting off to Stockholm next month for the final ‘cook off’ onboard Celebrity Eclipse. 
Mary’s creation was the only entry from Ireland among the 16 entries submitted and, thanks to everyone of you who voted for her, she received 287 votes – 76 votes behind Fiona Rafferty of Thomas Cook Scotland on 363 and just 13 votes ahead of Hayley Bircham of Thomson UK on 274 votes.
Mary describes her entry as: “A chocolate cake from paradise, fit for a celebrity, filled with ingredients of splendour. Drop anchor and enjoy with a little Irish tipple to wash it down.” She told Irish Travel Trade News: “I am very happy and very proud – and pleased to be working in Creation Travel! I am now looking forward to the final, which will be a real challenge. I’ll send you a slice!”
Caroline O’Connor, Managing Director of Creation Travel, when asked had she tasted Mary’s creation, said: “Oh, you can be sure of that – we had a feast here, and it was gorgeous!”
Jennifer Callister of Celebrity Cruises said: “I am over the moon that an Irish agent has won and I must say Irish Travel Trade News can take a lot of the credit for encouraging the trade to vote for Mary. Stockholm, here comes Mary!”
