Loganair No Longer for Sale as Owners Take Airline Off the Market

Scottish airline Loganair is no longer up for sale, with its current owners shelving the sales process.

Owned by brothers Stephen and Peter Bond, Loganair had been on the block since 12 months ago, with the hopes that a buyer would be found by the middle of this year.

The brothers have now shelved their sales plan and will now embark on a significant re-investment which will result in a complete fleet renewal.

Loganair is the largest regional airline in the UK and flies between Scotland and a number of Irish locations including Dublin, Derry and Donegal.

The BBC quoted the Bond brothers as saying: “There has never been a time-bound reason for the sale of Loganair, and we remain committed to the company until both the right time and custodian to acquire the company is chosen.”

A Loganair spokesperson told the BBC: “Loganair continues to trade profitably and free of debt – and Loganair’s management team welcomes Stephen and Peter’s ongoing commitment to supporting the airline, with which they have been involved for over 25 years.”
