The 26 Irish travel agents who travelled to Disneyland Paris really did experience the magic of Disney at the 20th anniversary celebrations, which have been extended until 30th September. The group, which was made up of invitees from Abbey Travel and Breakaway, got to visit both the Disney Parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. Some of the attractions in the Walt Disney Studios Park were privatised for the events, with agents having some thrills on Crushes Coaster and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
The size of the event highlights Disneyland Paris’s commitment to the trade as Frans Leenaars, Vice President Sales and Distribution at Disneyland Paris, pointed out at the Celebration Dinner on the second night. “We thank you, our travel trade partners, for your continued support and are delighted that 600 travel agents from over 15 different countries are here to experience Europe’s number 1 destination with us during our 20th Anniversary Extended,” said Frans.
This year the theme was the extension of the 20th Anniversary at Disneyland Paris. It was full of fun and surprises, including the amazing ‘Disney Dreams’ light show that, as usual, “brought a tear to a few eyes the first night we saw it”.
The Dublin agents travelled to Paris courtesy of Air France and Aer Lingus, while the Cork agents travelled as guests of Aer Lingus.
