Hurtigruten is inviting agents to join them at a unique evening to celebrate the life of Irish-born explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton – on Thursday 11th April at the Ferry Terminal in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin.
The Shackleton Endurance exhibition tells a survival story like no other: Shackleton’s Imperial Trans-Antarctic expedition of 1914-1917. Today it is rightly seen as perhaps the most remarkable in exploration history: a tale of extraordinary leadership – of the triumph of the human heart and spirit when faced with the most terrible odds. But it was years before its true significance emerged.
7.00pm: Join Hurtigruten for a glass of wine followed by a private tour of the exhibition.
7.45pm: Leave exhibition.
8.00pm: Dinner at the Royal St George Yacht Club. After dinner there will be a brief presentation of Hurtigruten’s Explorer voyages to Antarctic and beyond.
11.00pm: Evening finishes.
Places are strictly limited and are on a first come first serve basis.
RSVP Danny Giles on 07824 505283 or email [email protected].
