Gatwick Express has cancelled a large number of its services today “in light of the poor weather and to ensure we run the most robust and reliable service for our passengers”.
Train operating company Southern, which runs the Gatwick Express franchise, has advised that, as part of a revised timetable, the following Gatwick Express services will not run today:
- Gatwick Airport to London Victoria services departing at 0435, 0605, 0621, 0635, 0846, 0850, 1020, 1035, 1205, 1220, 1350, 1535, 1605, 1820, 1850, 1905, 1921, 2005, 2035, 2050, 2105, 2135, 2205, 2220, 235, 23.05, 2335, 2350, 0006, 0050, 0135
- London Victoria to Gatwick Airport services departing at 0330, 0515, 0530, 0545, 0645, 0715, 0730, 0930, 0945, 1115, 1130, 1300, 1445, 1515, 1645 (will terminate at Gatwick Airport, and not Three Bridges as normal), 1915, 1945, 2000, 2015, 2045, 2115, 2130, 2145, 2215, 2245, 2300, 2315, 0002, 0032
The Gatwick Express website says that the cancellations will “allow us to run longer trains”, and published the following apology: “We would like to apologise to you if your journeys over the last few days have been disrupted. Please be assured that we are doing everything we can to provide you with the best possible service in these difficult conditions, and we thank you for your patience.”
