Fáilte Ireland Looking for New Chairperson

Tourism Minister Catherine Martin has formally opened the application process for the position of Fáilte Ireland chairperson.

In a tweet, the tourism body said previous experience of leadership at board level is essential for the role.

Closing date for applications is 3pm, Friday May 26.

The successful applicant will replace Paul Carty, whose term in office is coming to an end.

Meanwhile, Fáilte Ireland has welcomed the appointment of its chief executive – Paul Kelly – as chairperson of the National Council for the Blind of Ireland (NCBI). The role is voluntary position and Mr Kelly will continue as Fáilte Ireland CEO.
