Etihad Advice Ahead of System Interruption on 8th March

On 8 and 9 March 2023, Etihad’s entire network will be undergoing a systems change.

There may be travel disruptions during this time as the airline switches over to the Amadeus Altéa Passenger Service System (PSS). These include Etihad’s website, reservation systems and mobile apps going offline.

Planned Offline Systems – 1400 GMT, 8th March 2023

Etihad’s major migration will take place from 1400 GMT on 8th March 2023 for around 18 hours. During this time all of Etihad’s systems will be offline including GDS access, Etihad.com and the ability to self-serve. It will not be possible to book or amend any existing bookings online, through Etihad’s contact centres or travel agents.

Travel Advice for Guests

In preparation, guests departing from Dublin, and all other airports excluding Abu Dhabi, will not be able to check-in online from this Thursday, 2nd March 2023 until Sunday, 12th March 2023.

The airline advises guests to check-in at the airport with their booking confirmation in printed or digital form four hours prior to departure.

Guests departing from Muscat, New Delhi, Singapore or Zurich will not be able to check-in online from 25th February to 12th March. Meanwhile, departures from Abu Dhabi will be affected from 4th March until 12th March.

Resumption of Services

The airline will resume its services gradually starting from 9 March 2023.  All flights will operate as usual, and your customers can check-in at the airport four hours ahead of departure.

Etihad “would like to thank you for your patience as you and your customers may not have the seamless experience that you usually enjoy with us. Our teams are ready to help minimise any disruptions that may occur during this time.”

Keeping travellers updated every step of the way

The airline has a dedicated page which it will be updating along with its FAQs regularly, so please visit to make sure you have the latest information to help you advise your customers. If you haven’t already, make sure that you are registered on Etihad’s trade email database so the airline can keep you updated through their trade email bulletins.

For more information on the planned migration and also the envisaged benefits to the new system, see Etihad’s dedicated PSS Information Hub on EtihadHub.com.
