Emirates has commenced its scheduled A380 service from Dubai to Melbourne and Auckland – and will launch A380 services to Moscow and Singapore on 1st December.
The new A380-800 service to Melbourne operates Monday – Friday and has a flight time of 13 hours 25 minutes, with EK0406 departing Dubai at 10.10 and arriving in Melbourne at 05.35 the following day. The flight is operated by B777-300ER aircraft on Saturdays and Sundays.
The flight continues to Auckland, departing Melbourne at 07.10 and arriving in Auckland at 13.45. The return flight, EK407, departs Auckland at 18.50, arrives in Melbourne at 19.50, and departs at 21.25 to arrive in Dubai at 05.25 the following day.
Emirates will start four weekly flights to Adelaide, its fifth Australian destination, on 1st November 2012, increasing to a daily service from 1st February 2013, while the Dubai – Perth route, currently twice daily, will increase to triple daily from 1st March 2013.
