Chile Removes Covid-19 Protected Border Plan

As of 9 May 2023 PCR tests and vaccination certificates are no longer required to enter Chile as a tourist as the “Protected Border Plan” is eliminated.

The Ministry of Health will no longer implement the “Protected Border Plan” in Chile. The change was made after the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared the end of the Public Health Emergency of International Importance (ESPII) by SARS-CoV2.

Visitors will no longer need a PCR test or Covid-19 vaccination certificate upon entry into Chile nor will they be subject to random Covid-19 testing.
