Cancún Rated World’s Fastest Growing Airport Since Pandemic

Cancún Airport, in Mexico, has been ranked as the fastest growing airport in the world since the pandemic, with a 37% increase in passenger usage since 2019.

The Mexican hub has grown faster than even the major US airports at Los Angeles, Chicago, New York and Boston, according to travel and aviation data company Cirium.

Bogota Airport, in Colombia; Las Vegas, Orlando, Sao Paulo in Brazil; and the Chinese hubs of Chongqing and Zhengzhou are the other airports which have seen huge growth since Covid.

Cancún’s popularity has been driven by US visitors to the Mexican city, which is a gateway to many other locations and has a lot of all-inclusive resorts of its own.
