Ahead of the CLIA Riverview Conference 2024, APT Travelmarvel hosted a VIP night onboard Travelmarvel Polaris on the docks of the Rhine River in Amsterdam.
ITTN’s Sharon Jordan and Allie Sheehan joined 12 Irish agents on board for a night to remember.
In attendance from Ireland were Clare Dunne (CEO ITAA), Caroline O’Toole and Fiona Flaherty (JWT Travel), Sarah Brady (Barter’s Travel), Tom Britton (Marble City Travel), Deirdre Sweeny (Sunway Travel), Karen Fegan and Sally Lynch (Centre Travel), Leah Parmeshwar (Travel Department), Sandra Corkin and Alison Hamilton (Oasis Travel).
After a quick flight from Dublin, everyone met on board the 4* contemporary Travelmarvel Polaris for a welcome drink and some light lunch. We sat in the conservatory of the lounge, where the doors can open right out in the summer. Brad Bennetts and Angela Waite from APT Travelmarvel welcomed all the guests onboard with a message from Paul Melinis, a welcome from the Captain of the Ship and Hotel Manager, and a small panel chat with Andy Harmer, CLIA.
Pre-dinner drinks were hosted in the onboard Irish bar McGeary’s and then onto the restaurant for the ‘Welcome Dinner’, the dinner we had was the normal offering for the Captain’s Welcome Dinner on the first night of the cruise.
The night was just getting started as sponsored by Vox, special guest band ‘Spring Break’, who you might know from the ITTN Awards in November, flew over to Amsterdam for a special performance. The band rocked the boat for two hours with their 80’s and 90’s classics.
This was a really special treat for everyone onboard and a great way to start the Clia Riverview conference.
