American Holidays Gets the Flash Mob

To celebrate 4th July, American Holidays organised, for the first time in Ireland, a cross-community and cross-border flash mob.

Lookalikes Dolly Parton, Elvis Presley and Katy Perry

The flash mob, which took place outside the tour operator’s office in Duke Street in Dublin, featured Ciaran Houlihan, an Elvis tribute act, as well as Dolly Parton, Hanna Montana and Katy Perry tribute acts.

Huge crowds gathered and sang along with Elvis, who took over Duke Street with his band, much to the delight of passers-by, customers and staff alike.

Lisa Byrne, American Holidays, said: “It was such an honour to have Elvis perform for us all and to have Dolly Parton and Katy Perry here as well was just the icing on the cake! People were literally stopping in their tracks to take it all in and we had a fantastic response to the event. Who better to celebrate the 4th of July than with America’s most famous star, the King himself?”

The event was in aid of Cinemagic, an international award-winning charity that embraces the magic of film, television and digital technologies to educate, motivate and inspire young people.

American Holidays has filmed the event and will upload it on to YouTube and Facebook. For every Like and Share the footage receives, Cinemagic will receive €1.
