Amadeus Ireland announced at today’s ‘Smart Technology – today, tomorrow’ conference that it is soon releasing a new booking engine through Facebook for low cost carriers and airlines on the GDS. Meanwhile, Travelport was introducing its new Smartpoint and Worldspan Translator APP that are new intuitive solutions translating all other GDS languages, making training of staff easier than ever.
In all 16 travel technology companies were exhibiting at the event in the Red Cow Hotel, Dublin, including ProCon Solution, which recently signed up FCm Travel Solutions in Ireland; GeoGuides, which provides agent-branded smartphone applications to interact and transact with clients when they are mobile; and Acuity Cloud Solutions, which was holding a draw for 100Gb for one year.
