Yesterday evening saw the Irish Travel Trade bid a WonderFULL Celebrity farewell to Jo Rzymowska, Celebrity Cruises’ EMEA vice-president and Managing Director.
In her speech, she told us she wasn’t leaving the industry but that she was evolving (into what she’s not quite sure) but I am positive we will see her somewhere new when the time is right for her.
Jo thanked the Irish trade for their support over the years and maintained that Celebrity “punched above its weight” in the Irish market, all down to the hard work and commitment of the trade to the brand and of course the wider UK and Ireland sales team, citing Valerie Murphy as key along with a hat tip to Lorraine Quinn. Jo also spoke about how Celebrity and the RCI brand were in good hands with Giles Hawke succeeding her.
Paul Hackett made a beautiful speech citing Jo as having ‘Iconic’ status within the industry and among friends.
What a beautiful send-off for a beautiful lady.
