ITTN joined the trade over the last two days at Northern Ireland Travel News’ Big Travel Trade Event. The event changed venue this year to the Crowne Plaza, Belfast and it has been an action packed two days.
The event started with speed networking with refreshments from Oceania Cruises, followed by The Travel Solutions ‘Spanish’ themed lunch. After lunch the Trade Exhibition started with suppliers having the opportunity to chat to agents throughout the afternoon. The exhibition also took place on Wednesday morning.
Over the two days, there was two insight panels, on Tuesday it was an Agent panel and on Wednesday it was a supplier panel, both discussing Sustainable Growth. Kirsty Johnston hosted the agent panel which included Gary Lewis, Chief Executive of The Travel Network Group; Kelly Cookes, Chief Commerical Officer of The Advantage Travel Partnership, Damian Murphy, Director of Terra Travel and local ANITA chair and Dame Irene Hays, Chair and Owner of Hays Travel.
Last night all the suppliers and agents came together for a ‘Night at the Races’ with the Spanish Tourist Office and Visit Salou. There was lots of fun and laughter as everyone used their ‘dollars’ to bet on the travel themed horses to win more dollars.
Tonight NITN will launch their awards and host a gala dinner with Jet2holidays.
