Lanzarote said a big “muchas gracias” to the trade as they hosted them to a superb lunch in the elegant Hot Stove Restaurant on Dublin’s Parnell Square. Good food, good company and good wine were the order of the day.
Hector Fernandez Mancahdo, Director, Lanzarote Tourism Promotion Board, thanked the trade for making his island the most popular of the Canary Islands with Irish visitors. Indeed, Lanzarote enjoyed having 205,000 Irish people visit in 2014.
Already this year the figures are showing an increase of 11% to this island of perpetual sunshine. Aer Lingus flies from Dublin to Lanzarote five times per week.
