Yvonne Muldoon and her excellent United team of Aoife Gregg, Pat Reede, Brian Hughes, Massimo Larini, and Barry Jackson from Northern Ireland, welcomed guests and golfers from all of Ireland to Carton House for the annual United Cup team match between the South and North travel trade.
The South team, captained by John Cassidy, retained the trophy with a 6 – 3 team win over the North, captained by Gary Boyd. Some great golf was played along the way.
After an excellent dinner, Yvonne thanked all the trade attendees for their support and stressed that 70%of United business in Ireland comes from the trade.
With the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner coming in the near future, the airline promises to continue as a major force in the Ireland – USA market from the island of Ireland.
The two Captains, John Cassidy and Jonathan Adair standing in for Gary Boyd, thanked the United team for their wonderful hospitality and the hotel and resort were complimented on their outstanding product.
It sounds like a great event and congratulations to all for another great event!
…But of course we have flat-bed seats on all our transatlantic flights, and have done so for many a year.
