ITTN Speaks to the Trade in Dublin City Centre

ITTN’s Carrie Day was out visiting agents in Dublin city centre last week to hear about rising trends and what is in high demand from Dublin holidaymakers since the start of the year.

Kathryn McCarthy who works in Abbey Travel’s long-haul department was excited to see an increase in Vietnam and Cambodia touring bookings and mentioned that Japan was in high demand in recent weeks too. Australia has long been a popular destination for Abbey Travel, and this year is no different! South Africa is also proving to be popular amongst families who want a mixture of city, beach and safari. Erica O’Reilly, long-haul expert, was keen to mention that Antarctica is also selling well for them at the moment.

Cassidy Travel’s Kathrice Gunning, who works in their Liffey St branch (home to Cassidy Travel’s Head Office) remarked that she was pleasantly surprised to see enquiries for Nashville on the rise lately. Twin or triple centre packages to Thailand are also in high demand with good value to be found in this relatively budget-friendly part of the world, while closer to home, Greece is selling well for Summer 2024. Irish holidaymaker’s favourite, Disneyland Paris, remains a constant top seller for Cassidy Travel.

Thanks for taking the time to speak to us, ladies!
