Farney Castle, Co Tipperary; John F Kennedy Arboretum, Co Wexford; Lough Muckno Park, Co Monaghan; and Tobernalt Holy Well, Co Sligo have been ranked the top 4 ‘true hidden gems’ of Ireland.
The ranking was by Swedish electric vehicle brand Polestar based on off-the-beaten track tourist points of interest that are still close to EV charging stations.
The Polestar 2 makes navigation simple and safe through its world-first integration of Google into the in-car infotainment system. The voice-activated assistant will allow the driver to simply say “Hey Google” take me to Farney Castle should they wish to visit the top hidden gem. The system also reduces distraction in the car and offers enhanced information such as charging locations including availability and speed of charger en-route if required. The system will even show you the predicted battery percentage upon arrival and on your return journey.
Jonathan Goodman, Head of Polestar for UK, and Ireland said: “The Polestar 2 is the ideal choice for exploring Ireland’s most enchanting less-visited spots giving driver and passengers a silent serene, yet engaging drive, ease of navigation while producing zero-tail pipe emissions. With a range of up to 551km (WLTP) and an expanding charging network in Ireland, it’s the easiest it has ever been to take advantage of the benefits of driving a Polestar”.
