A group of German travel agents and journalists – all specialising in luxury travel – has been exploring Ireland’s Ancient East and Dublin, as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.
The aim of the visit was to showcase some of the many things to see and do here for high-end German travellers and to highlight some of our fantastic luxury and culinary experiences.
The group’s action-packed itinerary included a VIP culinary experience with Hidden Howth Experiences, a private tour of the Irish National Stud & Gardens, afternoon tea at the Powerscourt Hotel and a VIP experience at the Guinness Storehouse. At Johnnie Fox’s pub, they enjoyed a night of traditional Irish music and dance. The group also visited Mount Juliet Estate for a fine dining experience in the Lady Helen restaurant.

Germany is the third-largest source of visitors to the island of Ireland and one of the largest outbound travel markets in the world.
In 2019, Ireland welcomed 749,000 German visitors to the island of Ireland.
