Aer Lingus plans to significantly boost its connectivity between Ireland and France, while also ramping up its seat offering at Cork Airport, this autumn and winter.
The airline has announced a brand new route – from Cork to Lyon, which will operate once a week on a Saturday. Taking off just before Christmas – on December 23 – the route will operate until the end of March and target passengers looking for winter sports getaways.
In all, Aer Lingus is looking to increase its flight capacity between Ireland and France by nearly 20% this autumn and winter.
As well as the new Cork-Lyon route, the carrier will resume its Cork-Tenerife route (from October 28) and its Cork-Malaga route (Christmas-February mid-term break). There will also be a doubling in frequency on its Cork-Lanzarote route to four weekly flights during the peak winter travel period.
The moves will see Aer Lingus increase its total seat offering from Cork by nearly 37%.
