WTTC Global Summit in Japan

The World Travel & Tourism Council’s Global Summit will take place in Tokyo and Sendai from 16th – 19th April with 85 speakers taking part in the annual event that brings together nearly 1,000 industry and government leaders from around the world to tackle some of the most pressing issues facing travel and tourism and to set the agenda for the future health of the industry.

The WTTC is choosing to show solidarity on behalf of the entire industry with both the country and the region affected by the earthquake and tsunami on 11th March 2011 by holding part of the Global Summit in Sendai City, Tohoku Region.

Among the speakers will be Martin Craigs, Chief Executive of PATA; Suraphon Svetasreni, Governor of TAT; Willie Walsh, Chief Executive of IAG; James Hogan, President and Chief Executive of Etihad Airways; and Gordon Wilson, President and Chief Executive of Travelport.
