The Worldchoice consortium of travel agents in Ireland as re-appointed Accident & General as its preferred insurance supplier for the next two years.
Worldchoice Commercial Manager Garry Zancanaro said: “We are pleased to continue our partnership with A&G. We have considered the changing needs of travellers and looked closely at our policies and adapted them accordingly. As a result Worldchoice members are exclusively offering the first policies on the market to include non-operation of flight, and cover for delay and abandonment due to natural catastrophe – including volcanic ash.
“Our single trip policies now have an upper age of 69, and the upper age on our Explorer policies for backpackers has been raised to 45. We are confident we have the most comprehensive range of policies available, with a policy to suit the needs of all travellers, and that the prices represent excellent value, particularly given that they include many items of cover usually sold as extras.”
Tom Duffy, Managing Director of Accident & General, added: “We are delighted to be continuing to serve the travel insurance needs of Worldchoice member agents. The refinements and additions to the new policies are largely due to the input from Worldchoice members and their travelling clients, and the launching and presentation of the policies reflects the ongoing co-operation and close relationship between ourselves and Worldchoice members.”
